Italian fine paper manufacturer, Fedrigoni, were struggling to sell their Marcate range of papers. The earthy colours were deemed fusty and old-fashioned and had fallen out of favour. We were tasked to create a piece which would inject a new life into the Marcate range, showcasing its timeless appeal.
The Creative Approach
Drawing inspiration from the exotic provenance of the Marcate colours. named after spices and distant lands – Wasabi, Paprika, Ceylon – we decided to take customers on a journey across the world, from London to India via Rome.
We grouped the papers together in unexpected combinations to create beautifully layered scenes, each one boasting foiling, embossing and laser-cutting to show off the papers' versatility.
An inspiring, sensory experience of a book that has helped many creatives rediscover their love for the Marcate range.
